The OECD Conference on "AI: Intelligent Machines, Smart Policies" took place in Paris on 26th and 27th October 2017. Prof. Dr. Georg Borges spoke about liability for autonomous decisions made by machines.

On the 26. September, the Institute of Legal Informatics dedicated itself to the development of the future generation at the event "Fascination Informatics" which was held at the Festo-Learning Centre in Rohrbach.

The first "Summer School IT Law and Legal Informatics" took place at Saarland University’s campus from 21st August to 1st September 2017.

The Institute of Legal Informatics will have its own stand at the accompanying exhibition to the German Conference in Information Technology in the Judiciary which will take place from the 20th to 22nd September.

Prof. Dr. Christoph Sorge was given the opportunity to highlight the advantages and risks associated with the use of password managers in an interview for "Spiegel Online".  Such password managers are becoming more and more relevant for individuals due to the ever-growing number of user accounts.

Legal Aspects of Cloud Computing

A total of 13 papers have been published as part of the BMWi's technology programme »Trusted Cloud«.
