On 8th May 2017, Prof. Dr. Sorge gave a lecture at a conference held by the National Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech) in Berlin. The theme of the conference was "legal challenges faced by Industy 4.0".
In his lecture about intelligent action and the accountability of machines, Prof. Dr. Sorge dealt with the three central phenomenon which were discussed at the conference, namely, a data-driven economy; M2M communication – readjustment of accountability and value networks; and legal limitations of networks.
Both Acatech and the conference fall under the academic leadership of Prof. Dr. Gerrit Hornung from the University of Kassel.
